1. We believe in one God; the Creator of all things, seen and unseen; all-knowing, all-powerful; eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. We believe that men and women are created in the image of God from the moment of fertilisation and are immeasurably valuable to him; the intentional ending of any human life in the womb at any stage is a sin, violating the commandment “Thou shalt not kill”, grieving the heart of God.
  3. We believe that since the first man Adam fell, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, incurring God’s wrath and eternal punishment.
  4. We believe that out of love for fallen humanity God the Son took on human flesh and was born of the virgin Mary: Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man.
  5. We believe that Jesus Christ, in complete obedience to the will of the Father, humbled himself and laid down his life for man’s sin, to reconcile man to God.
  6. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ: he ascended to the right hand of the Father and will return visibly at the end of this age to receive those who are his and to judge those who continue in sin and rebellion.
  7. God the Father and God the Son bestow the gift of God the Holy Spirit on those who, by grace, receive salvation by trusting in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Saviour: they become children of God and members of his Body, free from the curse of sin and death.
  8. We believe that the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord is to be expressed in every area of life.
  9. We believe that Satan, a fallen angel, is real and is the enemy of God and of his children and of all that is true and good. He was fundamentally defeated at the cross and his defeat will be fully realised at the end of time but for now he continues to deceive, steal, kill, and destroy.
  10. We believe that the Bible, made up of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible word of God, the final authority for life and doctrine.
